At Thrive we know that our staff are all devoted to making a difference to the community they work in and the people they support. Every Thrive team member works closely with the people accessing Thrive programs to identify personalised supports that will help them to reach their recovery goals.
What makes us extremely proud however is when the commitment shown by our staff is recognised within their community.
Big congratulations to Marilyn Newland, Thrive’s PHaMs Team Leader in Atherton, who received a nomination for the Community Services Award as part of the 2018 Tablelands Regional Council Australia Day Awards.
Marilyn, who is known to most as Maz, has been with Thrive since 2013 dedicates herself to the people that she supports to reach their recovery goals and it is an honour that her work has been recognised by those she supports. When not in the Atherton Thrive Centre, you are likely to find Maz somewhere across the Tablelands providing support, coordinating the Tablelands Mental Health Alliance or helping someone prepare for the upcoming roll out of the NDIS.
Congratulations to all the 2018 TRC Australia Day Award winners who can be found here.
